Hiroko Kuniya

Hiroko worked as anchor of 「World News」for NHK-TV’s Satellite Channel and anchored 「Close-up Gendai」a current affairs program on NHK-TV from 1993-2016.
She is now a Trustee at Tokyo University of the Arts. Special Visiting Professor at Keio University and the board member at Renewable Energy Institute. As a journalist she is covering SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals to enhance understanding of the global goals. She has been awarded the 1998 Broadcasting Woman Award, 2002 Kikuchi-kan Award, 2011 Japan National Press Award.
