2021 Annual Corporate Members’ Retreat

The Silicon Valley Japan Platform hosted its flagship event, the 2021 Annual Corporate Members’ Retreat on November 19 & 20.  Due to strict quarantine mandates placed on Japan travelers, the Retreat was held as a hybrid event this year. 

Representatives from SVJP member companies in Japan met in Kyoto to enjoy a weekend gathering while joining both online and offline events.  A welcome reception was held at the host hotel, Hotel Mitsui The Kyoto, where the members received a warm welcome by Mr. Takashi Ueda, Managing Director and Senior Executive Managing Officer of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., the owner of the hotel and an SVJP member company.  Online sessions spanned over two days, with sessions lead by the speakers and moderators listed below.  A special closing lunch took place at Taizo-in Zen Buddhist Temple, which included a special tour and discussion with the Deputy Chief Priest, Daiko Matsuyama.
